The Contra Costa Avian Society meets at 7:30 p.m. on the last Friday of every month.  However, during the holidays, a few of our meetings fall on the third Friday of the month.  Please refer to this website, or the Cheep News (our monthly newsletter), for the exact date each month.

Our meetings are held in the Contra Costa Water District Building at 1331 Concord Avenue in Concord.  It is across the street from the Acura car dealership.

From highway 680 near Pleasant Hill/Concord/Martinez
Take the highway 4 EAST exit toward Stockton/Antioch/Pittsburgh - about 1.5 miles
Exit right onto highway 242/24 WEST towards Oakland - about 1.5 miles
Exit Concord Ave
Turn RIGHT onto Concord Ave - stay in right lane
Turn RIGHT at first light into Water District parking lot (first driveway at light is a former EXPO store so make sure to go to second driveway)
You will see cars in the parking lot on the right.
Come into the building through the large glass doors.  The auditorium is on the left after you enter.

July 30, 2010   7:30 PM  Let's Party!  Back by popular demand:  Make and Take Bird Toys. Bring supplies, safe-for-birds pieces and parts, and share supplies.  Bring your own scissors or tools if you like.  (Label your tools!)

August 28, 2010 (Saturday)   "Flamingo Curation"   Speaker:  Carol Stanley of Feathered Nest in Vallejo  LOCATION CHANGE:  Buchanan Field in Concord.  There will also be a BBQ along with the meeting.
